A BIT ABOUT US

Liam & Deirdre founded Future Oz Inc (originally known as Songs for a Future Oz) during COVID as a way to connect with other graduating Music Theatre students around Australia, being grads of WAAPA. 

​

What gave us so much hope in our very first event was the amount of support that everyone was willing to give us. We racked up about 6 thousand views in total for this stream and raised AUD$3,500 for the Actors' Benevolent Fund. 

​

We then teamed up with Home Grown Australia to then produce what was the biggest Australian music theatre repertoire concert of all time, with an estimate reach of 21 thousand viewers. 

​

Through COVID, the Australian Arts industry has been severely affected. Graduating from drama schools are scary enough, let alone going out into the industry that's been so unsupported.

​

We have been determined to make an impact to bridge these graduating students to the professional industry.

​

We are also believers of everyone having equal opportunity. To make sure that happens, folks will have to have an equal starting foot. We are working to make this an achievable goal.
